People`s Artist of the Ukrainian Soviet Socialist Republic.
Born in Moscow. Graduated from the directing faculty of the State Institute of Theatre Art in 1952. Has worked as a stage director at the Kiev Academic Russian Lesya Ukrainka Drama Theatre. Since 1958 she has been a stage director (and from 1978 – 1980 principal stage director) at the Kiev Academic Shevchenko Opera and Ballet Theatre. Has taught at the Kiev State Karpenko-Kariy Institute of Theatre Art since 1969, and was made a professor of the faculty of directing in 1976. Has written scripts for her own films.
