Alexander Rakhbari is a legendary musician. Iranian composer and conductor who has worked with over 120 orchestras worldwide, including the Berlin Philharmonic. His teachers were Gottfried von Einem, Hans Swarovski and Karl Esterreicher, the conductor collaborated with Herbert von Karajan. Rahbari spent most of his creative life in Europe, where he popularized Persian music, as well as music with an oriental flavor. For example, in 1997, he gathered sixty Iranian musicians living in exile in various countries in the Austrian city of Bregenz and united them into the Iranian International Philharmonic Orchestra. Together they made recordings of various musical works, including Rimsky-Korsakov's symphonic poem Scheherazade, Khachaturian's violin concerto and works by Rakhbari himself. Returning to his homeland, in 2005 Rahbari conducted Beethoven's Ninth Symphony.
