Yekaterina Sergeyeva was born in St Petersburg. She graduated from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire in 2005. Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2004.

At the Hermitage Theatre she has appeared as Mary Magdalene (The Messiah, Son of Man). Together with the Mariinsky Opera Company, she has toured to Germany (Baden-Baden) and the USA.
