Was born in 1937 in Moscow. Graduated from Moscow Choir College, Gnesyny Institute and Kiev Conservatoire. Post-graduated from Leningrad Conservatoire under the guiding of E.A.Mravinsky. Headed Leningrad orchestra of the old and contemporary music (1974-1985). Founded symphony orchestras in Ulyanovsk and Volgograd. At present time has leaded Volgograd symphony orchestra and has been chief conductor in Odens (Denmark).

Has recorded more than 30 gramophone records and more than 22 CDs. Has been toured in the Europe, USA and Japan.
