The ensemble of the two musicians, soloists of the Moscow State Academic Philharmonic Society, - violinist Maxim Fedotov and pianist Galina Petrova - was founded in 1992. The unity of their artistic positions, music views, performing professionalism, emotional and intellectual potential and artistic style is proved by hundreds of concerts of the duet (Russia, USA, Japan, Australia, European countries, etc.) and a number of CDs. "Brilliant Russian virtuosos" ("Nice Matin", France), "musicians of a tiger‘s temperament", "the most popular Moscow duet" ("Nezavisimaya gazeta"), M.Fedotov and G.Petrova perform all the main repertory for violin and piano (Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Prokofiev, etc.), and also play an exclusive repertoire, performing whole programs of transcriptions of symphony and West European and Russian opera - ballet classics specially transcribed for them by composer Aida Isakova. The musicians not only broaden the repertory, but also have made a big step in the development of this genre.
