Elena Orlova was born in Leningrad. In 1985 she graduated from the Leningrad State Institute of the Theatre, Music and Cinematography (class of M.Smirnov). Currently she works in theatres in St Petersburg, Moscow, Samara, Voronezh, Riga and Vilnius as a costume designer and as a set designer. She has collaborated with stage directors including G. Dityakovsky, M. Bychkov, G. Trostyanetsky, S. Pinegin, A. Petrov and G. Yanovskaya. Recipient of “Seagull” (2006) and “Golden Mask” (2009) theatre prizes. Regularly takes part in theatre exhibitions in St Petersburg.
