Born in St Petersburg. Graduated from the St Petersburg Choral College (1993) and from the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (choral conducting faculty, 1999, and vocal faculty, 2002). Soloist with the Mariinsky Academy of Young Singers since 2001. Made his Mariinsky Theatre debut in 2002 in the roles of Lensky (Eugeny Onegin). Mariinsky Theatre soloist since 2005.
Repertoire includes: Lensky (Eugene Onegin), Vaudemont (Iolanta), Lykov (The Tsar?s Bride), Duke (Rigoletto), Alfredo (La traviata), Gonzalve (L?heur espagnole). Has toured with the Mariinsky Opera Company to Austria, Holland, Finland, Japan and France.
