Conductor

In 1986, graduated from the pianoforte department of the National Conservatoire in Buenos Aires (Argentina).
In 1992, graduated from the Faculty of the Theory of Composition of the St Petersburg State Rimsky-Korsakov Conservatoire (class of Professor Slonimsky).
In 1993, graduated with distinction from the Faculty of Opera and Symphony Conducting (class of Professors Martynov and Musin).
From 1993 – 1995, worked as trainee assistant to Valery Gergiev at the Mariinsky Theatre.
From 1996, performed as a Guest Conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre. Conductor at the Mariinsky Theatre since 2002.
Conducting Assistant to Mstislav Rostropovich since 2003.
Won a scholarship from the Mozartium of Argentina music society (1994).
Prize-winner at the IV International Competition in Vienna (silver medal, J.F. Perrenoud Foundation prize, 1995).
Conducts the operas Eugene Onegin and Faust and the ballets Swan Lake, La Sylphide, Giselle, The Nutcracker, La Bayadere, Don Quixote, Raymonda, The Legend of Love, Romeo and Juliet, Serenade (choreography by George Balanchine) Chopiniana, Gayaneh, Laurencia, Carmen, Le Jeune homme et la mort (choreography by Roland Petit) and Manon (choreography by Kenneth MacMillan).
Has toured in Russia and abroad to countries including Great Britain, Italy, Germany, Hungary, Mexico, Brazil, Argentina, Japan, China, Latvia and Switzerland. Has performed with the Symphony Orchestra of the Colon Opera House where he has also conducted the ballets Le Corsaire (Mariinsky Theatre production) and The Nutcracker (Nureyev). In March 2004 during the Mariinsky Theatre?s tour to Moscow he made his debut at the Bolshoi Theatre.
He is also a symphony conductor, his repertoire including works by Mozart, Schubert, Beethoven, Brahms, Tchaikovsky, Rakhmaninov, Prokofiev, Shostakovich and Mahler.
Conducts the Honoured Ensemble of Russia. He has recorded three CDs of works by Beethoven, Brahms, Chopin, Bloch and Khachaturian with the Academic Symphony Orchestra of the St Petersburg Philharmonic.
From 1997–98, was the first guest conductor of the Saga International Music Festival (Japan). Guest Conductor of the Municipal Opera House of Rio de Janeiro, the Manaus Symphony Orchestra and the Argentino Opera House in La Plata (Argentina). Since 2004 he has been Principal Conductor of the Bahia Blanca Symphony Orchestra (Argentina) and Artistic Director of the Cordoba Symphony Orchestra (Argentina).
